Příběh seriálu se odehrává mezi původním filmem Na vlásku a svatbou Lociky a Evžena. Locika se seznamuje se svými rodiči a královstvím a připravuje se na svou svou korunovaci, kde se stane oficiálně princeznou. Uvědomuje si však, že by chtěla ještě poznat svět, než přijme svůj osud spjatý s královskými povinnostmi. A tak se Locika rozhodne odložit korunovaci a jít za dobrodružstvím, které jí volá. Než se ale vydá do světa, přihodí se zvláštní věc a na scénu se vrací její dlouhé, blonďaté, kouzelné vlasy a s nimi se odkrývá i záhada jejich magického původu...
